Len Capps: a life of service

Len Capps and his wife Alison, spent many years in the Territory, in both Aboriginal communities and in Darwin. Len passed away in February 2012 after a short illness. The Trinity North Uniting Church in Perth has provided an obituary.

Frontier Services Celebrations

In April last year a committee was formed to organise events to celebrate the centenary of the Australian Inland Mission during Heritage Week in April 2012. The events were held over two weekends: 14-15 and 21-22 April.

Events included an open day at Adelaide House, a re-enactment of the 1915 Patrol by Padre Bruce Plowman and the relaunching of Margaret Bain’s book: Adapting to Difference.


Federal Government should heed Yolngu Voices

8th Quadrennial Trans-Tasman Rural Conference

The International Rural Churches Association will be holding its 8th Quadrennial Trans-Tasman Rural Conference from 2-6 July 2012. The conference will be held in Herberton, Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland. The theme of the conference is Resilience: building robust communities.
