The Uniting Church National Assembly, welcomed the statement by the Yolngu Nations Assembly that rejects any further extention of the Northern Territory Intervention. Rather than a top-down, interventionist approach, the Uniting Church is seeking genuine partnerships between communities and all levels of government and a true engagement with Indigenous people as equals and partners.
