Kormilda College is an independent, coeducational, multi-racial, day and residential secondary college serving the people of Northern Australia. Kormilda College is located 15 minutes from the city of Darwin. The College has operated as an independent school under the auspices of the Anglican and Uniting Churches since 1989. The driving force of the College is based on the social justice issues of equity, access and reconciliation.
It provides a Christian, life-affirming, mutually respectful and caring environment, educating its students ‘Towards Tomorrow’ which is the school’s motto.
The College boasts a varied curriculum covering both the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and the challenging International Baccalaureate Diploma. Supported by highly qualified specialist trainers and teachers, students are also offered a variety of extra-curricular activities encompassing debating, ‘Mock-Trial’ and ‘Tournament of Minds’ competitions. Students can participate in sports, outdoor education and leadership courses, the sailing program and the World Solar Car Challenge.
