Northern Synod

On Thursday 23 February 2012, Peter Jones, General Secretary of the Northern Synod, and Ms Siobhan Marren from UnitingJustice, appeared before the Senate Standing Committee Hearing on Community Affairs.  The Committee is hearing submissions in relation to the Stronger Futures Bills inquiry.

UnitingJustice, the justice unit of the National Assembly of the Uniting Church in Australia, has sent a written submission to the Committee and Ms Marren was able to speak to that submission in response to questions from Committee members.

The Rev Dr Djiniyini Gondarra, OAM, also made a presentation to the Senate Committee when they met in Maningrida on 22 February.  His submission to the Commitee is available here.
