CEO for Aboriginal Resource and Development Services

July 3, 2015

Aboriginal Resource and Development Services (ARDS) is a long-established Uniting Church-based Aboriginal organisation committed to facilitating the social participation and well-being of Indigenous people.

ARDS operates at the cultural interface in remote communities – especially NE Arnhem Land – with a commitment to community development, effective communication and bicultural teamwork.

ARDS has multimedia, Yolŋu Radio, language and community education staff units and operational bases in both Darwin and Nhulunbuy.

Due to pressing family health issues the current CEO is regrettably having to return South.

ARDS is seeking an experienced professional manager with Indigenous engagement experience to manage the day-to-day operations of ARDS, lead the staff team and to engage with government and other agencies to promote its work.

The successful candidate will also need to have strong administrative experience, and be able to deal directly with the range of HR and other corporate issues of a relatively small organisation.

The Board is looking to make an appointment and have a new CEO commence as soon as possible, but certainly no later than early September.

The salary will be negotiated up to $110,000, with statutory superannuation, car and salary sacrifice benefits being additional. Accommodation assistance may also be included in the package.

Applications to chris marshall@ards,com.au by close of business Friday 17 July 2015.
