Blue Care and Frontier Services

November 26, 2013

The Uniting Church National Assembly has asked Blue Care to assume the management of Frontier Services’ aged care services from 1 December 2013 to 30 June 2014.

Blue Care is part of UnitingCare Queensland and has extensive experience in aged and community care services in Queensland, including with Indigenous people in rural and remote areas.

Blue Care has appointed Mark Diamond as the Director for Aged Care Services and he will be based in Darwin. Mark has executive management experience in community services and health in three states over 20 years. Importantly, Mark has often worked in rural, regional and isolated communities.

The Church has asked Blue Care to manage Frontier Services’ aged care services following an investigation into the best way of ensuring service sustainability and continuity to regional and remote communities. In March 2014 further decisions will be made by the National Assembly about the longer term governance of the aged care services.
