Clem Gullick

April 26, 2013

With sadness but also in celebration for a life of faithful service, the Northern Synod grieves at the passing of Clem, who passed away in the early hours of Friday 26 April. Clem succumbed to cancer in the intestine and, after two weeks careful nursing in Darwin Private Hospital and then the Darwin Hospice, passed on to Glory surrounded by close family at 1.25 am on 26 April 2003.

Clem and his amazing wife Joyce, have a long history in the Territory when they lived at Galiwin’ku and he worked with the fishing industry and then skippered the Mission boat across the Top End. Supposedly after retiring, Clem was instrumental in developing Riyala as a camping and retreat facility for church groups.

A thanksgiving service for his life was held in Darwin Memorial Church on 3 May 2013.

Thanks be to God.
